Introduction
The Department of Business Big Data was established in 2022 after separating from the Department of Management Information Systems to provide knowledge for applying big data in business. Since 2016, the Department of Management Information Systems has led the innovation of academic programs related to big data analytics through the Korean Research Foundation's Creative Korea project, which served as the foundation for establishing the Department of Business Big Data. The department aims to prepare students for success in the digital business management era. To achieve this, the Department of Business Big Data emphasizes the application of big data in the business context and aims to operate an outstanding curriculum that integrates management and big data. Students learn various methods and technologies to collect, manage, process, and analyze big data from a technical perspective, gaining insights essential for business. They can also acquire extensive knowledge from a managerial perspective.
